The Embodied Self

Who Is The Embodied Self For?

The Embodied Self is for women who already know who they want to be and are done watching themselves fall back into old patterns anyway. It's a private mastermind from Embodied Identity Collective, led by Charlesa Flatten (commonly known as Charlé), where you bring the real situations in your life into weekly live calls and practice choosing differently while the old thoughts and feelings are still there.

Enrollment is open now. The Embodied Self has three levels of commitment: 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months. The 12-month option is by application.

You'll probably know in the next few lines

The Embodied Self is for the woman who can explain her patterns better than most people can explain their jobs, and who is tired of that being the end of the story.

You know the pattern. You know where it came from. You know what it protects. You've journaled about it, talked it through, maybe paid someone to help you understand it. And then the moment comes (the conversation, the decision, the thing you said you'd finally do) and you watch yourself respond exactly the way you always have.

Not because you don't know better. You know better. That's what makes it so maddening.

The Embodied Self is for you if…

  • You can explain the pattern, and you still live it. You described it perfectly to a friend on Sunday. You did it again on Tuesday.
  • You know the boundary. You just watch yourself not hold it. You hear yourself say "it's fine," then rehearse what you should have said for the rest of the day.
  • You've been "almost ready" for a while. The launch, the post, the price increase, the conversation, the move. It's not that you don't know what to do. You're waiting to feel like the kind of woman who does it.
  • You overthink the decisions that matter most. You can think through a decision for days and still end up right where you started.
  • You go quiet to keep the peace, and you're tired of how much of yourself that costs.
  • Self-work has started to feel like the price of admission to your own life. You'll start when you're healed. Be seen when you're confident. Want more once you've finally sorted yourself out.
  • You're done collecting information. You don't need another framework. You want somewhere to practice what you already know.
  • You have a goal that feels a little impossible, and you're tired of making it wait until you feel like someone who's allowed to go after it.
  • You're tired of being your own only mirror. When you're this close to your own patterns, they start to look like facts. An assumption can feel like your personality.

If you're nodding, you're who this was built for.

The Embodied Self probably isn't for you if…

These aren't flaws. They're just signs another kind of support would fit you better right now.

  • You want someone to tell you who to be. Nobody here will fix you, define you, or hand you an answer about who you are. The reflection is real. The choosing stays with you.
  • You want more content to study. The Embodied Self is practice, not information. If you mainly want to learn at your own pace, the self-guided practices in the Collection are a better fit.
  • You want every uncomfortable thought or feeling gone before you act. The work here is acting while they're present, not getting rid of them first.
  • You want a quick fix. This is ongoing practice in your real life over months, which is why the shortest option is three months.
  • You want to analyze every thought back to its origin. Curiosity is welcome. Endless self-analysis isn't the work.
  • You'd rather not be challenged. The 12-month application asks, plainly: "Are you willing to be coached, challenged, and asked to examine your own participation in your patterns?" If that question makes you want to close the tab, trust that.
  • You need clinical or crisis support right now. The Embodied Self isn't a substitute for it, and there's no shame in choosing that first.

"But I'm not ready."

Of course you're not. That's the point.

Waiting to feel ready is one of the exact patterns The Embodied Self works with. You don't have to feel confident, healed, or certain before you begin. You don't have to be ready. You just have to be here.

What happens inside The Embodied Self

The Embodied Self gives you a recurring space to work with what's actually happening in your life, with reflection, questions, and the perspective of other women. You bring a goal. The group keeps it in focus. You take action, notice what comes up, and bring that back. The rhythm looks like this:

  1. Bring what's happening. A decision, a relationship dynamic, a familiar reaction, or the thing you keep putting off. The work starts with your actual experience, not a hypothetical.
  2. Look at what's shaping your response. Together, you look at the thoughts, assumptions, and expectations driving how you're approaching it, and question what you've been treating as a requirement.
  3. Explore a different choice. Decide how you want to respond and what choosing differently could actually look like.
  4. Practice in your life. Take it beyond the call, into the conversations, decisions, and situations you're really dealing with.
  5. Reflect and continue. Bring your experience back. Look at what you noticed, what you chose, and what you want to explore next.

This follows Embodied Identity Collective's approach, See, Shift, Embody, Move: see the automatic habit of reading a thought or feeling as proof you're not ready, shift the authority you've given it, embody being okay without every feeling cooperating, and move toward what matters to you now. It happens in the middle of your actual life, not in theory.

The work can show up in your relationships, boundaries, work, money, creative pursuits, personal goals, and the everyday decisions that shape your life.

What it starts to look like

Discomfort doesn't disappear. What changes is how much say it gets. In practice, that can look like:

  • You send the email with the doubt still sitting there.
  • You say the thing you would've swallowed.
  • You make the decision you've been circling, without first examining every possible outcome.
  • You hold a boundary without making someone else's reaction your responsibility.
  • You let yourself be seen before you feel completely confident.
  • You notice the old response and don't treat it as a verdict on who you are.

You're not trying to become someone else first. You're practicing living with more choice, one real situation at a time.

  • 3 months is a focused start: you begin working with familiar patterns in real situations and practice making choices that reflect how you want to live.
  • 6 months gives you time to meet the same patterns more than once, which is usually where it gets interesting, and build consistency in how you choose and respond.
  • 12 months is a full year of practice, community, and individual support, with six private sessions to work on the situations, decisions, and patterns most relevant to your life. It's application only, and Charlé reads every application herself.
